Tram - Latest

Cycle groups will have a chance to put forward their views on the Uxbridge Road tram scheme in a separate consultation process with Transport for London. Over the last 3 months Ealing Cycling Campaign has attended local consultation groups for areas such as Hanwell, West Ealing and central Ealing. Transport for London have now recognised that specific concerns of cyclists and other groups are better addressed through a separate consultation process. We want to hear your views on the tram. Contact David Lomas. Tel: 020-8579 0805, e-mail: david_lomas28@hotmail.com

IRA-bombed building to have better cycle facilities

Prudential's new three-storey buiding at 30-34 Ealing Broadway building will have cycle racks and showers to encourage staff to cycle to work. The new tenant will also have to submit a green travel plan for approval by Ealing. According to the Ealing Centre Partnership "an increasing feature of developments is the need to demonstrate procedures to protect and improve the environment". This includes how employees will travel to work.
