Ealing Cycling Campaign
Newsletter September 2002

Car-Free Day: 22 September.

It's back and it's going to be bigger and better. Ealing Cycling Campaign are planning to hold two events for Car-Free day this year. A Dr Bike and stall in Churchfield Road, Acton, and a stall in Oldfield Circus, Greenford. Last year's Car-Free day was a great success. On the day, Churchfield Road, Acton, was closed to motorised vehicles from 9am - 9pm. Of the several thousand people who visited the street during the day, 82% thought Car Free Day was 'a very good idea'. Also, 70% said they would like the event repeated either every weekend or once every three months! We're not sure we've got the time to hold stalls every weekend, but bring your bikes along on Sunday 22 September and we'll check them out.
