Tram - Going off the rails?

Transport for London has put all external surveys, field work and consultation on the West London Tram project on hold for several weeks. In a statement sent out to members of the public consultation groups, Transport for London explained that it was conducting an internal review of all major projects. Round 5 consultation meetings have been postponed. TfL is planning a further announcement in early September. Watch this space.


Bring your Bicycle along to Dr. Bike in Acton

Monday 22 September is European Car-Free day. To encourage alternative means of transport, towns and cities across Europe will close selected roads for the day. Ealing council is closing Churchfield Road in Acton. In the afternoon and evening, there will be stalls and music. Ealing Cycling Campaign are holding a Dr. Bike session. Advanced Bicycle Maintenance Course

Cycle Training are running a long awaited one-day advanced maintenance course on the 20th September. The course is from 09.30am to 5.00pm at their venue just south of Blackfriars Bridge. Annual General Meeting

Yes, it's our Annual General Meeting. Come and have your say on what we should be doing. The meeting is on Wednesday 1 October. Meet at 7.20 at the rear entrance of Perceval House (the modern building to the left of Ealing Town Hall on Ealing Broadway, W5).


Events

All members are welcome at our meetings. We usually meet on the first Wednesday of the month.

The next meeting is at 7.20pm on Wednesday 3 September. The Annual General Meeting is on Wednesday 1 October.

If you haven't been before you are very welcome. We meet at the rear entrance of Perceval House (the modern building to the left of Ealing Town Hall on Ealing Broadway, W5) The meeting ends at 8.45 pm at the latest, and if you're lucky adjourns for beer, wine, cheesecake, etc. at "Cafe Grove" on The Grove, W5.
